The Resident Engineer will be responsible for overseeing construction execution of villa developments and high-rise building projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications, UAE regulations, quality standards, and project timelines. The role involves managing site supervision teams, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring successful project delivery.
Your role
- Supervise day-to-day construction activities for villas and high-rise buildings.
- Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and UAE authority regulations.
- Lead and manage site supervision teams, inspectors, and discipline engineers.
- Review and approve contractor submissions (shop drawings, materials, method statements).
- Monitor project progress, schedule, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and local authorities.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with safety (HSE) standards.
- Resolve technical issues and provide engineering solutions during construction.
- Review contractor's progress payments, variations, and claims.
- Prepare progress reports and update stakeholders regularly.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred).
- 15+ years of experience, including UAE experience in consultancy/supervision roles.
- Proven experience in villa projects and high-rise building construction in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of UAE building codes, authority approvals (DM, DDA, Trakhees, etc.).
- Experience in managing full project lifecycle from design coordination to handover.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software (AutoCAD, Primavera, MS Office).
- Professional certifications (PMP/Chartered Engineer) are an advantage.
