About The Role
Lead and execute project engineering activities across the full project lifecycle -from concept through engineering, construction, commissioning, and handover - ensuring delivery in line with safety, quality, schedule, cost, and Value Assurance Process (VAP) requirements.
The role requires strong coordination with engineering disciplines, Central Engineering, contractors, licensors, vendors and operations teams to ensure technical compliance, effective project execution, and timely delivery of projects.
Key Accountabilities
Project Engineering & Execution
Lead and execute project engineering activities across the full project lifecycle -from concept through engineering, construction, commissioning, and handover - ensuring delivery in line with safety, quality, schedule, cost, and Value Assurance Process (VAP) requirements.
The role requires strong coordination with engineering disciplines, Central Engineering, contractors, licensors, vendors and operations teams to ensure technical compliance, effective project execution, and timely delivery of projects.
Key Accountabilities
Project Engineering & Execution
- Lead and support execution of projects across FEED, detailed engineering, construction, and commissioning phases
- Develop and review Statements of Requirement (SOR) and project execution strategies
- Support preparation of tender documents and evaluation of consultants, PMC, and EPC contractors
- Review contractor engineering deliverables, construction methodologies, and execution plans
- Monitor project progress and identify bottlenecks with recommended corrective actions
- Lead value engineering, constructability reviews, and technical workshops
- Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, licensors, contractors, vendors, and third parties
- Participate in project meetings, design reviews, and progress tracking sessions
- Ensure alignment across multidisciplinary stakeholders for efficient project execution
- Monitor contractor performance, costs, and invoices in coordination with cost control functions
- Evaluate contractor claims and support negotiations and contract close-out
- Track project variations, risks, and trends impacting cost and schedule
- Conduct risk analysis, Project HSE Reviews (PHSER), and ATR reviews in line with ADNOC procedures
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety requirements, and quality expectations
- Review site safety audit plans and ensure proper implementation at project level
- Maintain project documentation, records, close-out reports, and technical deliverables
- Provide inputs to progress reporting for management review
- Coordinate pre-commissioning and commissioning activities with contractors and Operations teams
- Review commissioning procedures, readiness plans, and documentation
- Monitor punch list closure and ensure project completion prior to PAC issuance
- Facilitate handover of facilities and support start-up and operational readiness
- Strong ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary project engineering activities
- Effective control of project execution, contractors, and technical deliverables
- Proactive identification and mitigation of engineering and project risks
- Consistent adherence to ADNOC VAP, standards, and governance requirements
- Strong coordination between Engineering, Projects, and Operations
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering
- Strong expertise in project engineering across FEED, EPC, and commissioning phases
- In-depth knowledge of oil & gas facilities and engineering systems
- Experience in contractor coordination and project execution
- Strong capability in project monitoring (schedule, cost, quality)
- Strong technical, analytical, and stakeholder communication skills
