Job Purpose

The Logistics Supervisor for Critical Part Management plays a crucial role in ensuring the availability and efficient management of essential components required for Pedigri's operations. This position involves overseeing the entire lifecycle of critical parts, from PTI to Outbound processing, clearance instructions, facilitating vendor audits, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), managing a team of logistics personnel, and ensuring effective service order management. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of logistics and supply chain management.

Role And Responsibilities

  • Critical Part Management:

Inventory Management

  • Storage and Distribution: Oversee the proper storage, handling, and distribution of critical parts, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Service Order Monitoring

  • Inbound Processing: Daily inbound replenishments must be received into DMS and vendor system or reported to Inventory Control within two hours (120 minutes) after receipt during normal business hours.
  • Order Processing: Outbound order verification during business hours must be done within 15 minutes from order receipt. Oversee the accurate and timely processing of service orders, coordinating with relevant departments to ensure smooth execution.
  • Issue Resolution: Address and resolve any issues related to service orders, including delays, discrepancies, and customer complaints.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track the progress of service orders from initiation to completion, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of service orders, including status updates, communications, and resolutions.
  • Vendor Audit Facilitation:
  • Audit Planning: Schedule and organize regular vendor audits to assess compliance with Pedigri's quality standards and contractual obligations.
  • Audit Execution: Conduct thorough audits, including site visits, document reviews, and performance evaluations.
  • Corrective Actions: Follow up on audit findings, working with vendors to implement necessary corrective actions and improvements.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of audit activities, findings, and corrective actions for reference and compliance purposes.
  • Key Performance to ensure compliance
  • Inbound KPI's - Minimum acceptable KPI: 99.0%
  • Outbound KPI's - Minimum acceptable KPI: 98.0%
    • Drives, NFO, Will Call: Order must be acknowledged within 15 minutes from the time the order is released to the depot.
    • NBD . Business hours: Order must be acknowledged within 15 minutes from the time the order is release to the depot.
    • After hours: Order must be acknowledged the next business day by 11:00 AM (local time).
  • Ship Confirmation - Minimum acceptable KPI: 98.0%
    • ASAP Drives and NFO: Order must be ship confirmed within 30 minutes from the time the order is released to the depot.
    • Scheduled Drive: Delivery within a 40-mile/64 km radius: Order must be ship confirmed 90 minutes prior to the ETA
  • On-Time Performance: Minimum acceptable KPI: 98.0% NET (Target - 90% GROSS)
  • Team Management
  • Leadership: Provide strong leadership to a team of logistics personnel, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities for team members.
  • Resource Allocation: Assign tasks and responsibilities based on team members' strengths and workload, ensuring efficient utilization of resources.
  • Compliance and Documentation:
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all logistics activities comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all logistics activities, including procurement, inventory, audits, and service orders.
  • Policy Adherence: Promote adherence to company policies and procedures, reinforcing a culture of compliance and accountability.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field
  • Extensive experience in logistics management, with a track record of success in leading complex logistics operations and delivering measurable results.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, foster collaboration, and build strong relationships across departments and external partners.
  • Strategic thinking, analytical acumen, and problem-solving skills to develop effective logistics strategies, analyse data, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of logistics processes, transportation modes, inventory management principles, and supply chain best practices.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and tools, along with knowledge of industry regulations, compliance standards, and risk management protocols.
  • Certifications in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., Certified Logistics Professional, Certified Supply Chain Professional) are highly desirable and demonstrate professional expertise.
