The Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing communication, speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in post-acute rehabilitation patients. The role involves working with medically complex cases, delivering evidence-based, goal-oriented therapy to maximize functional communication and safe swallowing. The SLP will collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary rehabilitation team to support patient recovery, participation in daily activities, and safe discharge planning.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing function in post-acute patients.
- Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based therapy plans to address communication, cognitive, and swallowing deficits.
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve functional communication, cognitive-linguistic skills, voice, and safe swallowing.
- Monitor and document patient progress using standardized outcome measures, adjusting therapy plans as needed.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary rehabilitation team to ensure coordinated care, goal alignment, and safe discharge planning.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies, swallowing techniques, and home programs.
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, patient safety standards, and regulatory requirements in all therapy sessions.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
- Valid MOH / DHA / DOH license to practice as an SLP in the UAE.
- Minimum 2-3 years of clinical experience in post-acute rehabilitation, neuro-rehabilitation, or similar settings.
- Proven experience in managing neurological and medically complex cases, including swallowing and cognitive-communication disorders.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based assessment tools, therapy techniques, and outcome measurement.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team to optimize patient outcomes.
