3D Designer

MBLM Dubai is looking for a talented 3D designer with a keen eye for detail and a passion for building virtual worlds and exciting complex products.

As a Senior 3D Designer, you will be responsible for the full cycle of 3D asset creation, including modeling, texturing, lighting, rendering, and optimizing existing models.

You will work closely with the studio and development teams to deliver 3D assets for the web, apps, and other platforms. Your role will focus on creating visually compelling and optimized models that elevate brand experiences. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Build detailed 3D models from scratch based on design briefs, ensuring accuracy and creativity in machinery, products, architecture, and other assets. 
• Use tools like Substance Painter and Photoshop to develop UV maps and apply realistic textures. Ensure models maintain visual consistency and realism. 
• Set up and fine-tune lighting to enhance the mood and style of the project, ensuring photorealistic results. 
• Optimize rendering processes for quality and efficiency, using V-Ray, Arnold, or Redshift to meet project specifications. 
• Reduce polygon counts for performance without sacrificing quality. 
• Produce and prepare models for online engines like WebGL and WebGPU (Three.JS). 
• Estimate project timelines, resources, and phases ensuring that deadlines are met, and collaborate with other teams for seamless project execution. 
• Organize and deliver all final assets, including models, textures, and renders, in a clean and accessible format for future use or updates.

• Creating 3D models based on concepts or image references using software applications: Blender, Maya, or 3DS Max, ensuring the geometry and shapes align with the creative vision
• Unwrapping models and design textures in tools like Substance Painter or Photoshop, ensuring realistic surface qualities. Apply appropriate materials and shaders
• Setting up lighting that matches the project’s mood and enhances realism
• Configuring render settings and using engines like V-Ray or Arnold to produce high-quality images or sequences. Optimize settings to balance quality and deadlines

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in 3D modeling, texturing, and rendering. 
• Proficiency in 3D software (Blender, Maya, 3DS Max) and texturing tools (Substance Painter, Photoshop). 
• Experience with Three.js, WebGL, or other online 3D platforms. 
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
