Accountant - SAP Expert (Temporary)

We are recruiting for an Accountant - SAP Expert to join our team in Dubai. The role reports to Head of Accounting and Controlling, and is for a period of 6 months temporary assignment.

The Role

The Accountant - SAP Expert will support the successful deployment of SAP solutions with a focus on technical expertise in accounting, transactional processes, testing, and project management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions

Responsibilities

SAP Implementation

• Lead and support SAP implementation projects, including planning, design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
• Provide technical expertise in SAP modules related to accounting and transactional processes.
  
  

Accounting and Transactional Support

• Ensure accurate configuration and integration of SAP modules for accounting and transactional activities.
• Assist in streamlining financial processes and improving data accuracy within SAP systems.
• Support end-users in resolving issues related to accounting and transactional processes.
  
  

Testing and Quality Assurance

• Develop and execute test plans to ensure the functionality and reliability of SAP solutions.
• Identify and resolve defects and issues during testing phases.
• Collaborate with teams to conduct user acceptance testing and ensure successful project delivery
  
  

Project Management

• Plan, monitor, and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
• Facilitate communication between stakeholders, ensuring alignment and collaboration.
• Prepare project documentation, reports, and presentations for stakeholders.
  
  

Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree (preferred, not a must) in Accounting, Finance, Banking or related field
  
  

Experience And Skills

• 3 - 5 years of experience in accounting with SAP
• Experience in Big4/Consulting or Financial services industry is preferred
• Technical Expertise in SAP - Proficiency in SAP modules related to accounting and transactional processes, with the ability to configure, customize, and integrate solutions effectively.
• Transactional Process Expertise - Strong understanding of accounting transactional processes, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and asset accounting within SAP environments.
• Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting - Ability to identify and resolve technical issues related to SAP accounting and transactional processes, providing effective solutions and support.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Proactive and strong cross-functional collaboration
• Ability to achieve project excellence and deliver results within established timeframes
• Basic understanding of commonly used Generative AI / GenAI / Generative Artificial Intelligence platforms such as ChatGPT, as well as an awareness of best practices and the potential risks associated with AI in the workplace to apply.
