About The Role

Main responsibility of the role is to create, implement and administer all job specific trainings in the Marine and Waterpark Division. Person in this role reports to Training Manager and works on launching and monitoring department specific as well as L&D supported initiatives for global learning.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

  • Support and develop the Departmental Trainers and Aquaventure Instructors to ensure that regular and consistent training is delivered to fulfil the needs of the division
  • Take primary responsibility for all Aquaventure Waterpark training related matters, including but not limited to:
    • Deputizing the Aquaventure Training Academy
    • Accountability and management of third-parties including EIAC licensure and compliance, Ellis & Associates operational safety audits and guest experience audit standards such as Forbes, IFH and GRS
    • Design, manage & maintain the Aquaventure VAT (Vigilance Awareness Testing) and internal audit program
    • Oversee the management of licensure, in service training and onboarding required for Aquaventure Waterpark colleagues
  • Manage and maintain IBCCES accreditation throughout the Marine & Waterpark division
  • Assists the overall payroll contribution to the bottom line by means of efficient scheduling practices regarding training
  • Assists with the anticipation and analysis of training needs to ensure a high quality guest experience.
  • Performing disciplinary and counseling when needed to ensure accountability and performance expectations are met.
  • Ensure positive working relationships and interactions with outside the division including, but not limited to: Procurement, Facilities Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Learning & Development
  • Support Colleague Engagement initiatives to maintain engaged colleagues throughout the course of the year.
  • Ensure 100% compliance in the operation at all times as per third party and local governing standards.
About You

We are looking for candidates with solid background in waterpark/theme park operations, ideally in a luxury environment. You should have Ellis & Associates Instructor license and experience working in a supervisory capacity within a large and diverse team. To succeed in this role you should have excellent communication skills which will enable you to effectively influence your team members, peers and stakeholders as well as handle conversations around coaching and personal development. Diligence and attention to details in completing administrative part of the job is necessary too. You need to be fluent with industry standards and proactively contribute to learning initiatives development.
