Job Brief:

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Assistant Procurement Manager to join the team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in international procurement, particularly within the mechanical engineering sector, and a proven track record of sourcing pumps, chillers, and calorifiers. This role requires close collaboration with the Managing Director and the ability to lead a procurement team effectively.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end procurement processes for mechanical equipment, including pumps, chillers, and calorifiers.
• Source materials internationally, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality standards.
• Develop and maintain relationships with global suppliers and vendors.
• Lead and mentor a team of three procurement professionals.
• Collaborate with the Managing Director to align procurement strategies with company objectives.
• Stay updated on new products and methodologies in the energy solutions sector.
• Ensure clear and effective communication across departments and with external stakeholders.
• Apply basic mechanical engineering principles to assess and select appropriate products and solutions.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 8 years in procurement, with significant experience in sourcing mechanical equipment internationally
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Strong understanding of pumps, chillers, calorifiers, and related mechanical systems
• Excellent communication skills, leadership abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Demonstrated willingness to learn new products and methodologies
• Smart, diligent, and capable of working directly with senior management
