Your new role, what's involved?

• Reporting to the Head of (B)IM, you will oversee the implementation of (B)IM by inspiring and supporting the Specialist disciplines (Facade Engineering, Lighting Design, Acoustics and others) in all elements of the (B)IM process to ensure their seamless integration in multidisciplinary design projects.
• Negotiate the (B)IM scope with clients, highlighting exclusions, risks, and best practice to support the approval of BEPs and ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Conduct capability and competence assessments of potential supply chain partners to ensure their suitability for project involvement.
• Collaborate with project management teams to define project scopes, identify risks, and develop comprehensive execution plans (BEPs) that incorporate the needs of the Specialist Team(s).
• Collaborate closely with architects, developers, and portfolio managers to provide expert advice on planning, design, project management, construction, and maintenance, ensuring alignment with project objectives and industry standards.
• Ensure that all Specialist Teams deliver high-quality information, data, and models to stakeholders, adhering to contractual requirements and best practices.
• Implement and administer the relevant systems including configuration, maintenance, and administration of the project Common Data Environment (CDE).
• Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among team members, encouraging the incremental integration of new processes and technologies into project workflows for improved data driven work processes and deliverables.
• Provide structured reporting to project management teams, business unit leaders, and client representatives, including comprehensive updates on (B)IM implementation, recruitment and upskilling.
• Support the identification of learning and development requirements within the teams, facilitating continuous improvement and professional growth among members.
  
  

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in relevant Engineering or Architectural field.
• A minimum of 10 years broad experience in multidisciplinary (B)IM on large-scale projects.
• Minimum of 4 years of recent experience in one of the mentioned specializations.
• Mandatory proficiency and hands-on experience with a (B)IM authoring tool.
• Mandatory proficiency in design coordination tools.
• Mandatory proficiency in Information Management in a Common Data Environment.
• A good understanding of data-driven workflows and communicating their benefits to a range of staff.
• Extensive knowledge of relevant standards including all parts of the ISO 19650 series, ISO 7817, BS 8536, and ISO16739 with a focus on their practical application through a change management programme.
• Information Management and BIM-related certifications would be advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of openBIM, the use and benefits of it throughout the project lifecycle, knowledge of openBIM use cases, Information Delivery Specification (IDS), Data quality checking and standardised information exchanges using COBie at the correct work stages.
• Experience working within a multi-national work environment, with an understanding of cultural nuances and diverse project requirements, would be beneficial.
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts.
• Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and solve problems, with a focus on addressing prioritised challenges.
