Budget Specialist

About the role:
We are looking for a proficient Budget Specialist to join our Government Budget Department. The selected candidate will contribute to the preparation of budgets for government stakeholders and will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring the successful implementation of budgets through providing in-depth and detailed reports.
Your Responsibilities:
- Utilize established policies and procedures to oversee the implementation of budgets
- Review reports related to the expenditures of concerned government entities and prepare comprehensive reports on any deviations or abuses
- Contribute to the development and updating of budget models and guidelines
- Engage in the development of plans to monitor budgets and ensure that financial activities align with cash flows
- Conduct thorough analysis of budget gaps, and propose sustainable solutions and suggestions
- Create relevant policies, procedures and processes for cost analysis and prepare detailed reports
- Concisely summarize and interpret results from established budget plans
- Ensure budget compliance by providing well-thought-out proposals and recommendations for relevant parties
- Prepare clear and concise periodic reports and budgets for review by relevant stakeholders
About You:
You must have a bachelor's degree or higher in accounting or a related field with a minimum of 4 years of experience in this role. The ideal candidate should have a thorough understanding of budgeting policies and procedures, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
