Position Overview

We are looking for a growth-oriented Business Analyst to join the team at Presight! This role will focus on analyzing business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Drive awareness of requirements across business units and identify substandard systems processes through evaluation of real-time data
• Serve as thought leader for technical business processes, developing systems prototypes that promote increased efficiency and productivity on multiple levels
• Create and implement precise management plans for every project, with attention to transparent communication at all levels
• Perform, evaluate, and communicate thorough quality assurance at every stage of systems development
• Determine and develop user requirements for systems in production, to ensure maximum usability
• Partner with stakeholders across business units develop analyses and documentation in a collaborative way, communicating effectively and efficiently with production, managerial, and executive teams
• Evaluate, analyze, and communicate systems requirements on a continuing basis, and maintain systems processes, including the delivery of monthly status reports to all appropriate parties
• Author and update internal and external documentation, and formally initiate and deliver requirements and documentation
• Conduct daily systems analytics to maximize effectiveness and troubleshoot problems
• Develop meaningful and lasting relationships with partners for optimized systems integration, and respond to questions and concerns from managers and executives with supporting research and recommendations
• Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on energy & utility pre-sales and delivery, ensuring sector-specific requirements are accurately captured and translated into technical solutions
• Understand electricity and water demand, generation, transmission, and distribution mechanism and process of value realization
• Contribute domain expertise to the design and validation of demos, prototypes and use cases
• Support the evaluation of compliance requirements, efficiency requirements, and sustainability requirements specific to Abu Dhabi’s power and water sector, covering regulator and operator in the ecosystem
• Comply with QHSE (Quality Health Safety and Environment), Business Continuity, Information Security, Privacy, Risk, Compliance Management, and Governance of Organizations policies, procedures, plans, and related risk assessments.
  
  

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Five or more years of experience in analytics and systems development
• Proven analytical abilities
• Experience in generating process documentation and reports
• Strong working knowledge of relevant Microsoft applications, including Visio
• Excellent communication skills, with an ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Solid background in power systems planning or operations, with hands-on experience in utilities or energy sector projects
• Proficiency in interpreting sector data sets (e.g., load forecasts, generation dispatch, water production and power flows) and translating them into actionable requirements
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in information technology or computer science
• Proven ability to manage projects and user testing
• CBAP certification
• Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI, Kibana etc
• High proficiency in technical writing
• Working experience in utility / energy companies or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, energy systems, and related discipline
• Experience with industry-standard tools for power system analysis and planning (e.g., PSSE, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, or equivalent)
• Knowledge of Abu Dhabi and UAE energy-water regulatory frameworks, visions and programs, and Net Zero 2050 initiatives
