Business Systems Analyst

Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Business Analyst with expertise in the healthcare industry to join our Technology Team. This role focuses on launching innovative healthcare applications. As a critical liaison between stakeholders, you will analyze business needs, define requirements, and ensure successful project execution to deliver impactful solutions that improve operational efficiency and drive business growth. This role involves working with key stakeholders across various business and technology functions. The ideal candidate will have a natural analytical mindset and the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical users.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering & Analysis:
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business goals, processes, and pain points.
Document "As Is" and "To Be" business process flows in collaboration with business stakeholders.
Build extensive knowledge of business operations to analyze current work procedures and practices.
Document functional and non-functional requirements across multiple simultaneous initiatives into clear, easy-to-understand Epics, Features, and User Stories in Jira boards.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Act as a bridge between business teams, IT developers, and third-party vendors
Facilitate workshops, interviews, and brainstorming sessions to align on project deliverables
Facilitate key meetings and workshops, ensuring detailed minutes, decisions, and actions are documented for traceability and auditability.
Ability to structure and present well thought out proposals for alternative approaches to influence change
Solution Design & Implementation:
Develop detailed use cases, process flows, and system designs to support application development
Participate in systems analysis design sessions to ensure technology solutions meet business needs
Support functional demonstrations to all levels of stakeholders, including senior executives, to collect immediate feedback, approvals, and sign-off
Project Support:
Work closely with the project management team/scrum master’s to define timelines, milestones, and deliverables in accordance with the agile operating model
Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues to ensure on-time delivery
Provide support to development and QA teams throughout the full lifecycle of any project/programme
Ability to apply Critical Thinking to requirements or instructions to challenge the norms and find the most optimal approach to achieve business and company goals
Testing & Validation:
Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate system functionality
Provide support during system rollouts and ensure a smooth transition for end users
Post-Launch Optimization:
Gather user feedback post-launch and propose enhancements for continuous improvement
Collaborate with support teams to address issues and maintain system performance
Key Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, or a related field
Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the healthcare or technology sectors
Experience working on application launches or digital transformation projects in the Middle East is a plus
Proficiency in business analysis tools and Microsoft Office Packages (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Visio)
Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
Analytical mindset with a problem-solving approach
Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
Understanding and experience of working practices across multiple geographies, including regional nuances such as tax rules, regulatory interfaces, multi-currency, and multi-language
Strong team player with a focus on achieving results collaboratively
