OVERVIEW/BASIC FUNCTION:
Keeping in view the ever changing business scenario and your own career enhancement, Multi Skilling / Multi Tasking is seen as an imperative. To assist in overseeing the daily operations of the Butler department and ensure the delivery of exceptional service to guests at Rosewood Abu Dhabi. The Butler Supervisor will act as a key liaison between guests and the hotel, ensuring that guest needs are anticipated and fulfilled with the highest level of professionalism and discretion. This role involves supervising butler services, Manor Club, coordinating with other departments, maintaining high standards of the hotel, and overseeing F&B services for special attention guests.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Guest Service Excellence:
· Provide courteous, professional, and flexible service to guests at all times, adhering to Rosewood standards.
· Provide and ensure guest journey in Rosewood is planned and executed seamlessly for Pre-arrival, arrival, in room experience, stay Experience, departure and post Stay
· Ensure a polished and well-groomed appearance of team members while on duty.
· Observe and understand guest preferences and needs, ensuring personalized service.
· Welcome and check-in guests, providing suite orientation and handling luggage as required.
· Manage guest requests and special requirements, including unpacking and packing luggage, organizing wardrobes, and providing room and hotel information as well as events in the city.
· Oversee Manor Club and F&B services for special attention guests, including personalized dining experiences, arranging special amenities, and ensuring high standards of service.
Operational Management:
· Report on duty punctually for AM and PM briefings, maintaining accurate records of daily activities and guest requests.
· Oversee the daily operations of the Butler department along with Assistant Chief Butler, ensuring all duties are performed to the highest standards.
· Maintain a daily log of guest preferences, activities, and requests to ensure continuity of service.
· Maintain a daily check list within the butler team distributing the task and assignments.
· Monitor and manage inventory of butler supplies and amenities, reporting any shortages or issues to the Assistant Chief Butler.
· Ensure guest rooms and suites are maintained to high cleanliness and presentation standards, including managing laundry and pressing services.
· Cover personal butler service when needed to maintain consistent and high-quality service.
· Plan and organize the guest request in case of off property request, e.g.: Airport arrival, personal shopping, sightseeing, Cruise trips etc.
Communication and Coordination:
· Act as a liaison between the butler team and other departments, including Front Office and Housekeeping, to ensure seamless service delivery.
· Address guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly, ensuring resolution and follow-up.
· Maintain effective communication with guests and colleagues, ensuring all requests are handled in a timely and efficient manner.
· Coordinate and manage airport service pick-up and drop-off for special attention guests, ensuring a smooth and personalized experience.
Training and Supervision:
· Assist the Assistant Chief Butler in the training and development of new butlers, providing guidance and support as needed.
· Supervise and support butler staff, ensuring adherence to service standards and hotel policies.
· Assist the Assistant Chief Butler to train team members with Butler Brand standards not limited to packing and unpacking, shoe shine, in room check in , coffee service , afternoon tea etc.
· Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and suites to ensure compliance with Rosewood standards.
· Align with the Assistant Housekeeping Manager and Housekeeping Coordinator keeping the brand standards in place
· Coordinate with housekeeping team when ever necessary in room inspection techniques
Administrative Duties:
· Complete and maintain daily guest reports, internal communication forms, and other required documentation.
· Update guest profiles and preferences in the hotel management systems (Opera, KC, 360, Alliantz, and any relevant system).
· Assist the Assistant Chief Butler in managing the butler department’s schedules and ensuring adequate coverage.
· Provide coverage for Front desk and Manor Club operations to ensure seamless guest service and departmental coordination.
Miscellaneous:
· Participate in departmental and hotel-wide meetings and training sessions as required.
· Undertake any additional tasks or duties as assigned by the Assistant Chief Butler.
· Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to health, safety, and hygiene.
· Build stronger relationships with other Rosewood properties and share best practices to enhance service standards and operational efficiency

QUALIFICATIONS:
· Experience: Minimum two years’ experience as a Supervisor in a luxury or ultra-luxury hotel; previous supervisory experience.
· Education: High school diploma.
· General Skills: Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest’s service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
· Technical Skills: Thorough knowledge of hotel services and amenities; ability to compute basic arithmetic; provide legible communication and directions; ability to ascertain departmental training needs and provide such training; direct performance of staff and follow up with corrections when needed.
· Language: Required to speak, read and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred.
· Physical Requirements: Must be able to exert physical effort Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughout work periods, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding.
