Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic CFO to oversee the company’s financial planning, analysis, and control functions. This role is instrumental in shaping financial strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing risk, and supporting long-term growth initiatives across our fragrance and packaging divisions.
The CFO will serve as a key member of the leadership team, partnering with business heads and senior management to guide decision-making, optimize performance, and ensure financial sustainability. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-driven, and forward-thinking, with strong business acumen and leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Planning & Budgeting
- Lead the development and execution of annual budgets, long-term financial forecasts, and business plans.
- Align financial strategy with business goals, ensuring strong cost control, profitability, and investment planning.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses.
- Analyze financial performance against KPIs and provide actionable insights to support commercial decisions.
- Present financial updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Cash Flow, Treasury & Working Capital Management
- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure operational liquidity and financial stability.
- Oversee treasury functions, including banking relationships, payment cycles, and investment strategies.
- Optimize working capital by closely managing receivables, payables, and inventory impact.
- Compliance, Audit & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting standards (e.g., IFRS).
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and legal consultants for audits and regulatory matters.
- Identify financial risks and implement appropriate controls and mitigation strategies.
Cost Control & Margin Optimization
- Partner with procurement, operations, and sales to monitor product cost structures and optimize margins.
- Support pricing decisions with detailed cost and profitability analysis.
ERP, Systems & Process Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, reporting tools, and internal control frameworks.
- Implement and oversee ERP system updates to ensure accurate data and streamlined processes.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and mentor the finance team across accounting, reporting, and planning functions.
- Foster a performance-driven culture and build financial capabilities across the department.
Qualifications & Experience
Mandatory Expertise:
- Proven experience in leading finance departments in manufacturing, packaging, FMCG, or perfume/cosmetics industries.
- Strong command of financial strategy, analysis, controls, and reporting in a mid-sized or multinational environment.
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 10–12 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role in B2B environment.
- Experience managing cross-border financial operations, group consolidations, and multi-currency environments.
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, CA, or CMA are mandatory.
- MBA or advanced business/finance degree is an advantage.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of accounting standards (IFRS), financial controls, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Odoo) and financial planning tools.
- Strong analytical skills and business insight to drive commercial and strategic decisions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- High integrity and ethical standards in managing company resources and reporting.
