MedNet, a fully owned subsidiary of Munich Re, provides comprehensive managed care and health-risk management services across the MENA region. Headquartered in Dubai, UAE, with subsidiaries in Jordan, Bahrain, Oman, and Egypt, MedNet employs over 850 professionals. The company functions as a third-party administrator (TPA), managing claims, policy administration, and medical network operations for insurers, self-funded schemes, and government programs. It supports insurers in designing tailored health insurance solutions and delivers medical management services including case management, utilization reviews, and second opinions. MedNet also develops and maintains extensive networks of hospitals, clinics, laboratories, and pharmacies to ensure cost-effective access to healthcare. In addition, the company provides training and consulting services, and leverages digital tools and proprietary systems to streamline policy administration and enhance member services.
MedNet’s Finance department safeguards and manages the organization’s financial integrity and sustainability. Its core functions encompass strategic financial planning, budgeting and forecasting, performance management, treasury and capital management, accounting and financial reporting, procurement and accounts payable, credit management, and corporate tax compliance. The department ensures the prudent allocation of resources, effective risk management, and the ongoing financial stability and growth of the organization. Operating as a shared services centre for all legal entities and business units, the finance team comprises over 20 professionals.
Reporting hierarchically to the CEO of MedNet and functionally to the Regional CFO of Munich Re, the MedNet CFO role encompasses the following key duties and responsibilities:

- Provide strategic financial leadership aligned with organizational objectives and advise the CEO and executive team on financial matters
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and performance management across the organization
- Oversee accounting, financial reporting, statutory compliance, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and integrity
- Manage treasury, cash flow, capital allocation, and banking relationships
- Oversee tax compliance, external audits, and adherence to regulatory and governance requirements
- Drive cost efficiency, procurement oversight, and financial discipline
- Partner with business units to support decision-making, profitability, and operational effectiveness
- Lead digital and process improvements within the finance function to enhance efficiency and data-driven insights
- Build and develop a high-performing finance team and promote continuous improvement and strong financial governance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration, or a related field
- Master’s degree (MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification) strongly preferred
- Professional certification (CPA, CFA, ACCA, or CMA) strongly preferred
- Experience in financial services, health insurance or healthcare preferred
- 15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, IFRS, and regulatory requirements
- Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
- Deep understanding of corporate finance, capital allocation, and treasury
- Experience with risk management, controls, and governance frameworks
- Proven ability to manage banking, auditors, and other external stakeholders
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing finance teams
- Ability to design and drive financial strategy aligned with business goals
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- High proficiency with financial systems, ERP platforms, and data analytics
- Excellent communication skills, including board-level reporting
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to partner with CEO and executive team
- Ability to operate in fast-paced, complex, or international environments
- High ethical standards and unwavering commitment to compliance and integrity
- Experience in working the Middle East region preferred
