About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for a Commis 2 to join the Culinary team in Jumeirah Al Naseem. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

• Support Commis 1, Demi Chef, and Chef De Partie in daily food prep aligned with Jumeirah standards and outlet concept.
• Prepare ingredients, sauces, salads, and basic dishes as per the exact recipe and plating guides. Wash, peel, chop, cut, season, and marinate meats, fruits, and vegetables as needed.
• Set up and restock the workstation, maintain par stock, and prepare for the next shift. Store ingredients properly, follow rotation procedures, and discard expired items.
• Keep the section clean, follow hygiene standards, and ensure accurate ingredient collection and storage.
• Attend team briefings, report equipment issues, and follow all instructions from senior chefs.
• Maintain professionalism, teamwork, and comply with all safety and SOP requirements, including HACCP.

About You:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• College Degree in Culinary Arts or similar from an accredited Culinary School.
• 2 years of experience in a range of kitchen areas, ideally within the luxury hospitality industry.
• Adaptability and appreciation of cultural diversity
• Expert in food quality and presentation skills.
