Job Summary
As a Consultant Fetal Medicine, you will be responsible for providing specialized medical care to pregnant women and their unborn babies. Your main role will be to diagnose, evaluate, and manage fetal abnormalities; provide consultation and counseling to parents-to-be; and perform fetal interventions when required. You will be working closely with a team of dedicated professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities
As a Consultant Fetal Medicine, you will be responsible for providing specialized medical care to pregnant women and their unborn babies. Your main role will be to diagnose, evaluate, and manage fetal abnormalities; provide consultation and counseling to parents-to-be; and perform fetal interventions when required. You will be working closely with a team of dedicated professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, evaluate, and manage fetal abnormalities using advanced ultrasound and other diagnostic tools.
- Provide consultation and counseling to parents-to-be, explaining the findings and potential risks.
- Review medical history, perform physical exams, and order appropriate tests.
- Discuss risks and benefits of different treatment options and provide recommendations.
- Coordinate with the multidisciplinary team to develop individualized patient care plans.
- Conduct fetal interventions, such as fetal blood transfusions, fetoscopic surgery, or intrauterine procedures.
- Document patient progress and treatment plans accurately and timely.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in fetal medicine and attend conferences and workshops.
- The candidate must have Western education or experience
- Medical degree from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Consultant Fetal Medicine in a reputable institution.
- Western education and/or training in a recognized healthcare system (e.g., USA, UK, Canada, or equivalent) is mandatory.
- Certification in Fetal Medicine from a recognized body.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Fluent in English, Arabic is a plus.
- Must hold a valid medical license to practice in the UAE.
