Role Summary
We are seeking a distinguished Consultant in Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) to join a renowned tertiary-level women’s health center in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will bring cutting-edge expertise in managing high-risk pregnancies, congenital fetal conditions, and prenatal diagnostics, while contributing to a multidisciplinary, patient-centered care model.
Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a distinguished Consultant in Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) to join a renowned tertiary-level women’s health center in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will bring cutting-edge expertise in managing high-risk pregnancies, congenital fetal conditions, and prenatal diagnostics, while contributing to a multidisciplinary, patient-centered care model.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care for high-risk and complicated pregnancies, including those with fetal abnormalities, maternal comorbidities, and multiple gestations
- Conduct and interpret advanced prenatal diagnostic procedures (e.g., targeted ultrasounds, fetal echocardiography, amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling)
- Collaborate closely with neonatologists, geneticists, perinatologists, and obstetricians to optimize outcomes
- Lead and participate in antenatal case reviews, interdisciplinary rounds, and family counseling sessions
- Mentor residents and fellows in obstetrics and MFM disciplines
- Drive clinical audits, maternal safety protocols, and research initiatives in perinatal health
- Ensure compliance with MOH/SCFHS regulations and international standards for maternal care
- Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent), with residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology
- Fellowship or subspecialty certification in Maternal-Fetal Medicine
- Board-certified (e.g., UK CCT, American Board, Arab Board, or equivalent)
- 10+ years of clinical experience, including minimum 3–5 years at consultant level in an MFM setting
- Eligible for Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) Consultant classification
- Proficiency in English (Arabic language skills highly valued)
- Expertise in fetal therapy, invasive diagnostics, or genetic counseling
- Exceptional patient communication, especially in sensitive fetal diagnoses
- Experience in digital imaging systems and EMR platforms
- Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement in women’s health services
