We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Consultant NICU to join our prestigious hospital in Saudi Arabia. As a trusted healthcare provider in the region, we strive to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to our patients and their families.
As the Consultant NICU, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit while providing excellent medical care and support to our patients. Your primary duty will be to provide specialized care to newborns with complex medical conditions, including premature births, respiratory distress syndrome, and birth defects. You will be expected to work closely with other physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans for our youngest patients.
Key Responsibilities
As the Consultant NICU, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit while providing excellent medical care and support to our patients. Your primary duty will be to provide specialized care to newborns with complex medical conditions, including premature births, respiratory distress syndrome, and birth defects. You will be expected to work closely with other physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans for our youngest patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and assess newborn patients to determine their medical needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Monitor the progress of newborns under your care, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
- Utilize your expertise to provide specialized care to newborns in critical condition, including the use of incubators, ventilators, and other medical equipment.
- Work closely with parents and family members to provide emotional support and educate them on their baby's health and development.
- Oversee and direct a team of nurses and healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of quality patient care.
- Keep accurate and detailed medical records and reports for all patients under your care.
- Stay current with the latest developments in neonatal care by attending conferences and continuing education courses.
- Medical degree from a recognized institution.
- Board certification in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Consultant NICU in a reputable hospital.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and make critical decisions in emergency situations.
- Must be Western-trained.
