We are seeking a Consultant – Occupational Medicine for a leading healthcare institution in Abu Dhabi. The role requires clinical expertise, preventive health strategy, and organizational leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-employment, periodic, and return-to-work medical examinations.
- Diagnose and manage occupational illnesses and work-related injuries.
- Provide fitness-for-duty assessments and health surveillance programs.
- Identify and mitigate occupational hazards across diverse industries.
- Develop and implement preventive health strategies and wellness programs.
- Support hospital/organizational initiatives related to occupational health.
- Mentor junior medical staff and contribute to recruitment processes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve workplace health outcomes.
- Design and oversee occupational health policies and procedures.
- Implement performance management systems, including peer review and utilization review.
- Contribute to strategic planning and organizational health initiatives.
- Engage in occupational health research and evidence-based practice.
- Conduct training sessions and awareness programs for employees and management.
- Medical degree with Board Certification in Occupational Medicine (or equivalent).
- Fellowship training in occupational health or related specialty preferred.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in occupational health practice.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
- Expertise in workplace risk assessment and preventive health strategies.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of UAE labor laws and international occupational health standards.
