Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled and board-certified Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon with specialized expertise in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopic procedures for both upper and lower limbs. This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading healthcare institution in Abu Dhabi, serving a diverse patient population with cutting-edge medical care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced arthroscopic surgeries for upper and lower limb conditions (e.g., shoulder, knee, elbow, ankle)
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries related to sports and activity
- Collaborate with physiotherapists, radiologists, and rehabilitation teams for integrated patient care
- Provide consultative services and surgical interventions in line with international standards
- Participate in clinical audits, research initiatives, and continuous improvement processes
- Engage in community and patient education regarding injury prevention and recovery
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the hospital’s electronic medical systems
- Medical degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) with full specialty training in Orthopedic Surgery
- Subspecialty training or fellowship in Sports Medicine or Arthroscopic Surgery
- Board certification (UK CCT, American Board, or equivalent) preferred
- Minimum 5+ years post-specialty clinical experience
- Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written)
- Valid licensure or eligibility for licensure with the DOH Abu Dhabi
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach
- Strong team collaboration and communication skills
- Proven record of surgical excellence and patient outcomes
- Adaptability to modern hospital systems and electronic documentation
