Allocation Assist Middle East is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Consultant in Pediatric Ophthalmology to join our prestigious client, a leading hospital in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional to make a real difference in the lives of children and their families by providing comprehensive ophthalmic care and treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of pediatric patients’ ophthalmic conditions, including vision, eye alignment, and visual development
• Provide timely and accurate diagnosis and treatment plans for a wide range of pediatric ophthalmic disorders, such as strabismus, amblyopia, and eye injuries
• Perform complex ophthalmic surgeries, including corrective surgeries for congenital and acquired eye conditions in children
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for pediatric patients, including input from orthoptists, optometrists, and other specialists
• Stay current with advancements in pediatric ophthalmology and implement evidence-based practices in day-to-day patient care
• Participate in staff training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge in pediatric ophthalmology
  
  

Qualifications

• Medical degree from a recognized institution
• Board certification in pediatric ophthalmology from a reputable institution
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in pediatric ophthalmology, with a focus on surgical procedures
• Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of pediatric ophthalmic conditions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team
• Must be Western-trained
• Passion for providing compassionate care to young patients and their families
