Reporting to: Director of Legal

The Corporate Legal Compliance Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing compliance programs to ensure the exchange house adheres to internal policies, as well as local and international legal and regulatory requirements. This role requires close collaboration with various departments to mitigate legal risks and ensure operational compliance with UAE Central Bank regulations.

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance programs aligned with financial regulations, exchange house policies, and FinTech industry standards.
• Oversee the customer onboarding and due diligence processes, ensuring all compliance checks are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor ongoing client activities, perform periodic reviews, and manage high-risk customer assessments.
• Manage disputes, fraud prevention programs, and chargeback processes in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct internal audits and compliance assessments to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
• Provide legal advice to senior management on compliance-related matters, enabling informed business decisions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory developments, including data protection, anti-money laundering (AML), and counter-terrorism financing (CTF) laws.
• Liaise with regulators, external auditors, and other stakeholders regarding compliance issues and regulatory inspections.
• Draft, review, and update company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with UAE Central Bank and other applicable regulations.
• Lead compliance training and awareness initiatives for staff to promote a strong compliance culture.
• Investigate non-compliance incidents, propose corrective actions, and ensure timely resolution.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in legal compliance, preferably within the financial services, exchange house, or fintech sectors.
• Strong knowledge of UAE Central Bank regulations, AML/CTF compliance requirements, and international compliance standards.
• Experience in online payment systems, fraud prevention, and handling high-risk clients is an advantage.
• Excellent understanding of corporate governance, risk management, and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven ability to work with multinational teams, regulatory authorities, and financial institutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• High ethical standards and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

• Fluency in English is mandatory.
• Proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
