Role Summary
Required
The role of the Cybersecurity Engineer is an extension of Altera’s IT and information security team to ensure a holistic approach to cybersecurity & IT -OT network in the Company. The Cybersecurity Engineer reporting to the EICT lead will be a member of PDE Project Management Team, working collaboratively within the PDE organization, systems, procedures, and methods. This role has been identified as a “Key Position” within the Rosebank project organisation of PDE and it is required that She / He is available and willing to continue to work in this position to the end of the EPC phase. The Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible and accountable towards PDE for designing solutions and all engineering activities within the project and implementation of the overall methodology towards Cybersecurity and IT-OT. The Cybersecurity Engineer shall ensure that all relevant work, internal and external in these disciplines related to the Project is executed to meet:
Accountabilities
– Coordinate development of Cybersecurity and IT-OT solution with PDE Operations team, JV, Client, Contractors, and other stakeholders.
– Develop and maintain a project Execution Cybersecurity and IT-OT Strategy/plan to meet the project organization’s needs and requirements during the project period.
– Ensure that relevant activities within the discipline are within the company framework and in conformance with contract requirements, Project Execution Plan, and relevant laws and regulations. The health and safety of personnel, the natural and working environment and equipment shall be taken care of
– Responsible for overseeing contractor implementing a solution for Cybersecurity and IT-OT. Work with PDE Regulatory Compliance & Verification Lead and Contractors to ensure that the required compliance and verification activities in areas of Cybersecurity
and IT-OT are defined and executed as required.
– Review and comment documents by Contractor including arrangement on accessibility, security, operability, functionality, and maintainability to meet
requirements in laws, regulations, class, flag and contract.
– Responsible for IDC comments verification and approval within Cybersecurity and ITu0002OT engineering and respond to relevant TQ’s or non-conformances.
– Prepare technical philosophies, specifications, documents, and drawings as required to clearly define the scope of work.
– Participate in work pack review sessions as well as ensure that all work packs prepared by contractor are complete in terms of scope definition in areas of Cybersecurity and IT-OT
– Participate in design reviews, HAZID’s, HAZOP’s and any other related safety studies as required.
– Report to the EICT lead any delays in progress under his/her area of responsibility.
– Report to the EICT lead any failure of design or gap between the delivered solution and the contract requirement, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
– Participate in meetings and audits/ inspections as required, worldwide.
– Coordinate with AIC DIGIT management team to ensure alignment with Altera IT and OT architecture requirements.
– Coordinate Lessons Learned input to PDE Project Management Team.
– Close assigned Technical Query (TQ) and other Action Tracker items in PIMS or formal MOM.
– Collaborate closely with other key disciplines in the Project Management Team. Call off assistance from discipline resources within area of responsibility as needed to keep quality and progress.
– Other duties as required by the Engineering Manager & EICT Lead
Requirements
Technical education on bachelor’s level or higher within computer science, IT or equivalent
– Minimum 10 years of relevant experience within cybersecurity, IT and OT, network management, data protection
– Recent experience of working on similar role on UK North Sea projects, familiarization to DNV-RP-G108 and OG86 guidelines will be an advantage.
– Strong & interpersonal skills applied to a multidisciplined project team.
– Recent relevant experience in middle east / Southeast Asian shipyards is an advantage.
– Diplomacy & assertiveness
– Organized, Systematic & Flexible
– English – fluent written and verbal skill
