The opportunity

As a Data Scientist at Core42, you will work at the forefront of generative AI, cloud technologies, and large-scale digital transformation. You will design advanced algorithms, build enterprise-scale models, and deploy solutions across sovereign cloud and HPC environments. The role requires close collaboration with cybersecurity, cloud engineering, and executive stakeholders to develop innovative, secure, and scalable AI solutions that empower public sector and enterprise clients across the region.

Responsibilities

• ead the design and implementation of advanced machine learning and generative AI models to solve complex, high-impact business and national-scale challenges.
• Translate analytical insights into actionable recommendations that drive enterprise and public sector digital transformation.
• Oversee and mentor a team of data scientists, cultivating a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and technical excellence.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including cybersecurity, cloud engineering, and product—to integrate multi-disciplinary solutions.
• Pioneer new generative AI methodologies and help set benchmarks for national-level solution deployment.
• Advocate for data-driven decision making by establishing best practices in data acquisition, management, processing, and analysis.
• Ensure the security, privacy, and compliance of all data systems in alignment with industry-leading cybersecurity standards.
• Identify and evaluate emerging technologies in AI, cloud computing, and big data, integrating relevant advancements into Core42’s service offerings.
• Communicate complex data concepts, insights, and solution value clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Required skills / qualifications
• Certifications in data science, AI, or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).
• Minimum 10 years of general technological experience.
• At least 5 years of specific experience working as a data scientist within cloud environments.
• Strong proficiency with big data tools, analytics suites, and modern machine learning frameworks.
• Mastery of data science, analytics, and advanced modeling techniques.
• Background in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related fields; Master’s or PhD is a plus.
• Experience deploying AI/ML workloads in cloud or HPC environments.
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity best practices and secure data handling principles.
• Proven leadership skills, with experience managing or mentoring technical teams.
• Preferred skills / qualifications
• Experience building and deploying generative AI solutions at scale.
• Strong strategic planning and execution capabilities within complex technical environments.
• Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated AI-cloud solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex analytical concepts for diverse audiences.
