Job Title: DevOps Functional Lead

Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Role Overview:

The DevOps Functional Lead is responsible for ensuring the seamless delivery of DevOps services across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and operational support. This role bridges development and operations teams, driving automation, reliability, and performance while aligning with business goals and service-level expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Service Delivery & Operations

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of DevOps services, ensuring SLAs and KPIs are consistently met or exceeded.
• Oversee the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of cloud-native applications and infrastructure.
• Manage incident, problem, and change management processes in collaboration with ITIL-aligned teams
  
  

DevOps Strategy & Execution

• Drive the adoption of DevOps best practices including CI/CD, infrastructure as code (IaC), and automated testing.
• Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to design scalable and secure DevOps solutions
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize delivery pipelines and reduce time-to-market
  
  

Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Manage and mentor DevOps engineers and service delivery teams, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
• Act as the primary interface between DevOps teams, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors
• Participate in operational governance forums and provide regular updates to senior leadership.
  
  

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and audit requirements across all DevOps activities.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for service disruptions.
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in IT service delivery, with at least 3 years in a DevOps leadership role.
• Proven experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred), CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins), and IaC (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates).
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Good knowledge and at least 7 years of hands-on experience in Azure Cloud
• Good knowledge and at least 5 years of hands-on experience in Linux administration
• Excellent knowledge with minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in Kubernetes and Gitlab CI/CD pipeline
• Good knowledge and hands on experience docker
• Good understanding on DevSecOps process and tools
• Knowledge of below technologies/ tools will be an added advantage

• Ansible
• Clair OpenVas, SonarQube
• Gitlab server, EFK stack, Docker Harbor, Nginx reverse proxy, Keycloak, Minio, Redis, Verdaccio,Prometheus/GrafanaAdministrate various DevSecOps tools, automation tools, and platform
• Certifications such as AZ-400 (Microsoft DevOps Engineer Expert), ITIL v4, or PMP.
• Experience managing hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
