Electrical Site Supervisor

You will be responsible for overseeing all electrical installation and maintenance activities at solar project sites, ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to environmental sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate all electrical installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities at solar project sites.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to develop work plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
• Ensure that electrical work is performed in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
• Monitor progress, resolve issues, and adjust plans as necessary to ensure project milestones are met.
• Lead a team of electricians, technicians, and subcontractors, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise.
• Assign tasks, set priorities, and delegate responsibilities to team members, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
• Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of electrical personnel, with a focus on safety, quality, and best practices.
• Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure that electrical installations meet design specifications and performance standards.
• Conduct inspections and tests to verify the integrity and functionality of solar PV systems, electrical components, and wiring.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and compliance documentation, adhering to relevant codes and regulations.
• Promote a culture of safety on-site, emphasizing the importance of adhering to safety procedures, protocols, and regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections, identifying hazards and implementing corrective actions to mitigate risks.
• Provide safety training and guidance to electrical personnel, emphasizing hazard recognition, prevention, and emergency response procedures.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
• Proven experience in electrical supervision or management, with a focus on solar energy projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including solar PV installations, inverters, transformers, and balance of system components.
• Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations governing electrical work in the solar industry (e.g., NEC, IEEE, NABCEP).
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach to challenges.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and environmental sustainability in all aspects of work.
• Valid electrical license or certification (if required by local regulations).
