Tasks

Bid projects:

Provide the referent Lead with computations, simulations and preparation of Technical Safety deliverables necessary to develop the technical proposal

Support the referent Lead in bidding activities, including also manhours and costs estimation

Executive Projects

Support the referent Lead in reviewing contractual documents and the documents produced during bidding phase

Produce/maintain technical documentation within his field of activity

Participate to interdisciplinary check of documents for his field of activity

According to his field of activity, tasks to be performed can include the followings:

• Prepare the documents for the hazardous area classification
• Prepare the documents passive for fire protection (fireproofing), fire and gas detection systems and safety signs
• Prepare the layout drawings for safety equipment location and escape routes
• Perform the design basis and characterization of the fire fighting protection systems, and prepare relevant documents
• Execute the hydraulic calculation for the fire water network
• Prepare the firefighting supply specifications and review vendors documentation
• Perform the risks analysis and the safety and reliability studies
• Perform the Safety Reports and Safety Dossiers required for the authorization processes
• Participate to safety related workshops (e.g. HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, etc)
• Support the referent lead in the organization of the safety related workshops and the relevant follow-up
• Perform Functional Safety, Technical Integrity and Human Factor related activities
  
  

Skills And Role Responsibilities

• Knowledge of Firefighting equipment and systems sizing criteria, and awareness of International/Company standards, technical standards, regulations and working practices for Firefighting industry system design.
• Knowledge of design criteria, technical standards, methodologies and tools to be applied for a safe and reliable project design. This mainly covers Hazardous Areas Classification, Fire and Gas Detection Systems, Safety Integrity Levels, Active and Passive Fire Protection Systems, basic elements of pertinent Instrumentation Engineering, Safety Equipment, Emergency Escape Routes and Safety Signs.
