Job Description
1 Ensuring compliance with relevant international, local, statutory, legislative, regulatory, DP World standard practices or other contractual obligations with respect to inspection and testing of equipment and its accessories and facilities.
2 Perform equipment inspection based on scheduled intervals and ensure all new equipment owned and received undergone statutory checks and inspection prior to first use.
3 Reporting of results of inspection, specifying any repair, service or replacement action and/or recommendations necessary to return the lifting equipment to a state of compliance with the appropriate and relevant standards.
4 Maintaining proper documentation of policies, procedures and operations starting from receiving the request for an inspection, carrying out regular inspections, preparing for inspection, performing inspections, recording results and up to the issuance of the final report and/or certificate.
5 Ensuring testing facilities are properly equipped with equipment and instruments appropriate for the type of inspection being conducted and are calibrated to required standards.
6 Detecting possible faults and damages and assessing their impact on occupational safety. Assessment includes effects of wear, deformation or damaged incurred that may affect operational safety.
7 Ensure utmost compliance with occupational health, safety and environmental policies whilst performing responsibilities and report imminent hazardous occurrences related to any lifting equipment and it working environment.
