Job Description

The company currently employs over 500 construction experts located throughout the UAE, with an unparalleled skillset covering finance, architecture, design, mechanical and electrical engineering, as well as project management. As a Estimation Manager Lead the estimation department by delivering precise cost estimates, competitive bids, and value-engineered proposals for construction projects, ensuring organizational growth and profitability.

Key Interaction & Communication

• Collaborate with clients, consultants, engineers, project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Liaise with internal departments like procurement, contracts, accounts, and commercial teams to streamline project execution and financial clarity.
  
  

Key Responsibilities & Areas Of Responsibility

• Cost Estimation and Tendering:
• Prepare competitive and accurate cost estimates for construction projects, factoring in direct and indirect costs.
• Manage tendering processes, including reviewing tender documents, drawings, and BOQs.
• Allocate new tenders and bids among the quantity surveyors and estimators based on workload.
• Conduct quantity take-offs using Planswift and On-Screen Take-off.
• Value Engineering:
• Propose innovative cost-saving solutions while maintaining project quality.
• Develop and present value-engineered options to clients and management.
• Subcontractor and Supplier Coordination:
• Prepare packages for subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring detailed and accurate pricing.
• Compare quotations, clarify scope, and finalize agreements with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Update market rates and send inquiries to potential vendors.
• Team Leadership:
• Lead, mentor, and oversee a team of estimators and quantity surveyors.
• Review and verify team deliverables, including quantity calculations and costing sheets.
• Project Management:
• Collaborate in pre-tender budgeting, post-tender cost control, and budget price preparation.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, including ESTIDAMA/Green Building standards.
• Attend kick-off meetings and tender negotiations.
• Technical Documentation and Reports:
• Prepare detailed commercial offers, including method statements, cost breakdowns, organizational charts, and qualifications.
• Create and submit post-tender clarifications and project reports.
• Develop costing sheets for structural works, finishes, and construction elements.
  

Job requirements

Minimum Qualifications/Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  
  

Minimum Experience

• 15–20 years of experience in construction estimating, with substantial expertise within the UAE.
• A proven track record in managing estimation for large-scale construction projects.
  
  

Technical Skills And Tools Proficiency

• Expertise in Cost Estimation, Tendering, and Value Engineering.
• Proficient in Structural Design Software (ETABS, SpColumn, SAFE).
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• Skilled in AutoCAD, CCS (Candy), Planswift, and On-Screen Take-off.
