About The Role

The Financial Controller will support the finance function by managing a small team of 2–3 AP/AR associates, overseeing bookkeeping, payroll, and compliance, while also contributing to FP&A, strategic planning, and consolidated group reporting. This role is based in Dubai and offers an opportunity to grow within an entrepreneurial, global environment.

Key Responsibilities

Finance Operations & Control

  • Manage day-to-day finance operations: bookkeeping, AP/AR, payroll, reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.
  • Own treasury processes: bank accounts, cash movements, cash flow forecasting, and liquidity management.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS, tax, audits, and statutory filings; coordinate with external advisors and auditors.
  • Establish and maintain robust internal controls across all entities.

Group Close & Consolidation

  • Lead the monthly close process and deliver timely consolidated financials across multiple global subsidiaries (multi-entity, multi-currency).
  • Oversee intercompany eliminations, reconciliations, and ensure accuracy of consolidated reporting.
  • Standardize accounting policies, reporting frameworks, and COA across the group.

M&A Integration

  • Lead financial integration of newly acquired portfolio companies into group finance processes, including systems migration, reporting alignment, and policy standardization.
  • Oversee opening balance sheet reviews, purchase price allocation inputs, and onboarding of new entities.
  • Support due diligence and post-acquisition accounting requirements.

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Improve and scale systems, processes, and reporting tools to support rapid global growth.
  • Drive ERP and consolidation tool enhancements, ensuring efficient multi-entity reporting.
  • Implement automation and process improvements to strengthen accuracy, speed, and control.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small team (2–3 associates), driving accountability, ownership, and performance.
  • Act as a hands-on leader who can balance execution with process building in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Qualifications

Must-Haves

  • CPA, CA, or ACCA qualified.
  • 5-7 years’ experience in Finance/Accounting/FP&A, ideally in tech/SaaS.
  • Proven experience managing small teams.
  • Strong accounting, FP&A, and treasury skills.
  • Based in Dubai, with excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
