About the Role

Our client is hiring for a Waiter/Waitress to be responsible for delivering a high-quality dining experience through exceptional customer service, attention to detail, and efficient order handling. This role plays a key part in ensuring guests feel welcome, well-informed, and satisfied throughout their visit.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service

• Greet customers warmly and present menus.
• Provide detailed information on menu offerings, daily specials, ingredients, and dietary options.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them promptly to the kitchen and bar teams.
• Serve dishes and drinks efficiently and professionally.
• Check on guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any issues promptly.

Process payments and issue receipts using the point-of-sale system.

Operational Duties

• Prepare tables, arrange settings, and ensure the dining area is clean, presentable, and ready for service.
• Clear tables and reset them for the next guests efficiently.
• Support opening and closing duties, including cleaning, restocking, and organizing supplies.
• Follow all food hygiene, safety, and sanitation guidelines.

Teamwork & Communication

• Coordinate effectively with kitchen, bar, and management staff.
• Communicate guest requests, complaints, or feedback promptly to supervisors.
• Assist colleagues during busy periods to maintain smooth operations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience as a Waiter/Waitress or in a customer-service role is preferred but not always required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills and familiarity with POS systems are an advantage.
