The Founder’s Associate will work closely with the MishiPay CEO, gaining exposure to strategic decision-making processes and contributing to key initiatives. They will act as a sounding-board for the CEO, managing and delivering key tasks so that the CEO can focus on strategy and execution.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to learn about the operational, commercial and strategic aspects of developing a startup, with a chance to work across all divisions and gain exposure to all key decision-makers within MishiPay.

Stakeholders

The FA will be expected to support various functions as directed by the CEO, which may include but are not limited to, business development, operational efficiency improvements, financial analysis, market research, and other critical projects.

Overview

As our Founder's Associate, you will support our CEO/Founder, Mustafa Khanwala by engaging, managing and supporting a broad range of projects and day to day tasks across most MishiPay functions.

Your ability to multitask effectively, think critically and laterally, prioritize effectively and collaborate across all divisions will be critical to your success.

You will be flexible, happy to work across various time zones and problem-solve quickly and effectively when required.

Key Responsibilities

Stakeholder support - attending all CEO meetings, compiling relevant data and presentations, and meeting collateral for attendees, providing summaries for clients, investors and partners and ensuring all action points are executed in a timely fashion by the relevant parties, including yourself.

Project Support - regularly updating the CEO on project progress, including milestones, delivery, obstacles, concerns and issues that may affect deadlines.

Internal Communications - Preparing reports and performance presentations for all team members. Acting as a liaison between the CEO and the rest of the company.

Commercial Engagement - Crafting recommendations to increase revenue and profitability, and reduce costs.

Project Management - Managing and contributing to special projects, allocating resources, managing and working to deadlines, and ensuring the timely delivery of successful project outcomes.

Market Research - Conducting relevant market research and data analysis to support key decision-making on product development, market trends, business and regional expansion, and competitor analysis.

Operations - Contributing to day to day operational tasks as indicated by our CEO. .

Team Collaboration - Working closely with other Mishipay team members across departments to drive and deliver company-wide goals.

Other - Other Duties As Required By The CEO.

Travel - international travel where necessary.

Qualifications And Attributes

Demonstrable project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and efficiently.

Ability to work longer hours where necessary.

Hugely organised, able to work at pace, independently, and under pressure.

Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; and an ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all stakeholders, internal and external.

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, you’ll have a data-driven approach to decision-making.

Adaptable, proactive and resourceful, with strong attention to detail, able to own tasks and your mistakes, and learn from them.

A strong desire to succeed in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.

Excitement to travel and engage with international clients.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Google Suite, and other tools, ideally Slack, etc.

Passionate about working in a tech startup and contributing to the growth and success of the business.

Ideally, a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent in from a well-recognised university, either in the UK or internationally.
