About Emirates Global Aluminium Emirates Global Aluminium is the world’s biggest ‘premium aluminium’ producer and the largest industrial company in the United Arab Emirates outside the oil and gas industry. EGA is an integrated aluminium producer, with operations on four continents from bauxite mining to the production of cast primary aluminium and recycling. EGA employs over 7,000 of these people including more than 1,200 UAE Nationals. EGA operates aluminium smelters in Jebel Ali and Al Taweelah in the United Arab Emirates, an alumina refinery in Al Taweelah, a bauxite mine and associated export facilities in the Republic of Guinea, a speciality foundry in high strength recycled aluminium in Germany, and a recycling plant in the United States
Our National Graduate Training Programme provides graduates with an approximately 18-months training programme enabling them to assume a role as a first line supervisor Preference is given to graduates in the fields of engineering, but other disciplines are considered based on the needs of the organisation. A customised development plan is prepared for each graduate trainee, comprising on-the-job training, technical skills development, and management and leadership competency development programmes Each graduate trainee is assigned a mentor and regular progress review meetings are held To train and prepare graduate trainees from colleges and universities for their target positions. The Graduate Trainee Program aims to develop high potential UAE nationals to become future leaders at EGA
  • The trainee will go through various methods, and will focus on practical and leadership/supervisory skills. It is designed to provide the performance levels and competencies required to fulfil their targeted role.
  • Familiarization within the trainee's designated department for one month to gain a general knowledge about each section's functions and main responsibilities.
  • On-the-job training for the remaining period is geared towards their target position. Once the trainee has successfully completed the program he or she will move to their target position.
Criteria:
  • UAE National holding a family book.
  • Maximum experience of 2-3 years, fresh graduates preferred.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, HR, Marketing, Sustainability, or Supply Chain.
