We are looking for a strategic security leader to own and drive Axi’s global security vision. This role combines deep technical credibility with the ability to design and execute a long-term security roadmap for a multi-region fintech/trading platform.
While the technical core will involve vulnerability assessment within CI/CD and Kubernetes environments, you will also lead the organisation’s defence across a broader spectrum of threats — including security of staff devices, protection of externally facing endpoints, mitigation of DDoS attacks, and prevention of data breaches.
You’ll work closely with two experienced in-house security engineers who already cover vulnerability management and policy compliance, enabling you to focus on strategic planning, architectural design, and stakeholder engagement at the highest level.
We welcome candidates with systems integrator or security vendor backgrounds, as they bring diverse exposure to enterprise-scale architectures and best-in-class security solutions.

Your EDGE Assignment/You Will
- Set and own the global security strategy, defining a multi-year roadmap covering infrastructure, cloud, and application security for a global trading environment.
- Lead the design of enterprise-wide security architectures for CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes clusters, and multi-cloud deployments (Azure focus).
- Assess and address broader security threats — from device security and endpoint hardening to DDoS mitigation and data breach prevention.
- Partner with technology, product, and business leaders to embed secure-by-design principles into every platform and process.
- Establish and enforce security reference architectures and solution patterns to ensure consistency, scalability, and compliance.
- Research emerging security technologies and evolving threats to keep the organisation ahead of the curve.
- Lead and mentor the global security engineering team, driving operational excellence and innovation.
- Represent Axi during audits, regulatory reviews, and high-level stakeholder discussions on security posture
Are you the one?
- Proven experience leading security architecture and engineering at an enterprise or global scale.
- Background in system integrators or security vendors strongly preferred.
- Strong track record in vulnerability assessment within CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes environments.
- Broad understanding of enterprise security threats, including device security, DDoS mitigation, and data protection.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to design and execute a security roadmap aligned to business objectives.
- Deep expertise in cloud security (Azure preferred) and infrastructure security design.
- Strong DevSecOps knowledge, embedding security into modern software delivery lifecycles.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or Azure Security Architect/Engineer are an advantage.
