Role Overview: The Head of Trade will be responsible for driving the trade strategy and execution for Abbott Nutrition brands across UAE, Oman, Qatar, and Bahrain. This role is crucial for the success of the business, contributing significantly to the overall revenue and market share.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement trade strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives and market dynamics.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify opportunities and threats and adjust strategies accordingly. This includes :Market Size and Growth, Competitive Landscape ,Marketing Strategies, Sales Channels, SWOT Analysis, Trend Analysis
  • Channel Management: Manage relationships with key trade partners across various channels including modern trade, traditional trade, e-commerce, and on-trade establishments such.
  • Sales Performance: Drive sales performance through effective trade promotions, pricing strategies, and distribution management.
  • Above-the-Line Actions: Develop and execute above-the-line marketing campaigns to enhance brand visibility and drive consumer engagement.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of trade marketing professionals, ensuring alignment with business goals and fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Budget Management: Oversee trade marketing budgets, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on trade performance, market trends, and strategic recommendations for senior management.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of experience in trade marketing or sales leadership roles within the FMCG/Nutrition industry preferably in the Middle East.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and proven leadership abilities.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the UAE, Oman, Qatar, and Bahrain markets, including consumer behavior, retail landscape, and regulatory requirements.
