Job Overview
KILONEWTONS is looking for a proactive HSE Engineer to ensure workplace safety, environmental compliance, and risk mitigation across our Dubai projects. You will be the guardian of our zero-harm culture in a high-performance construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
Safety Compliance & Risk Management:
- Implement OSHAD, Dubai Municipality & ISO 45001 standards
- Conduct risk assessments (HIRA, JSA, PTW systems)
- Develop emergency response plans & drills
- Perform daily safety inspections & behavioral observations
- Lead internal & external HSE audits
- Ensure PPE compliance & safe work methods
- Deliver HSE induction & toolbox talks
- Train teams on working at heights, confined spaces, hot work
- Promote safety culture through campaigns
- Monitor waste management & pollution control
- Ensure compliance with UAE environmental laws
- Implement sustainability initiatives
- Investigate accidents/near-misses (root cause analysis)
- Maintain HSE statistics & KPIs
- Report to DCD & regulatory authorities
Technical Expertise:
- 5+ years in construction HSE (UAE experience mandatory)
- Certified NEBOSH IGC/IOSH (minimum)
- Knowledge of DOSH regulations & international standards
- HSE Systems: Intelex, Enablon, or similar
- Microsoft Office: Advanced Excel/PowerPoint
- Reporting Tools: Power BI (advantageous)
- First Aid/CPR certified
- OSHA 30-Hour (preferred)
- Chartered Member IOSH (CMIOSH) – bonus
- Fluent in English (Arabic beneficial)
- Strong communication & leadership
- Ability to influence safety behavior
