Role Overview

The HSE Trainer will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating health, safety, and environmental training programs across the organization's diverse project portfolio, including civil, infrastructure, and luxury residential developments. This role requires a dynamic professional who can effectively communicate HSE principles, ensure workforce competency, and foster a culture of safety awareness and compliance in line with UAE regulations and international standards.

Key Responsibilities

Training & Development

• Develop and deliver HSE training modules tailored to project requirements and workforce needs.
• Conduct induction programs for new employees, subcontractors, and site staff.
• Provide specialized training on emergency preparedness, risk management, and safe work practices.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and update programs to reflect regulatory changes and industry best practices.
  
  

Awareness & Engagement

• Organize safety campaigns, toolbox talks, and awareness initiatives to reinforce HSE culture.
• Promote proactive safety behavior and accountability across all levels of the organization.
• Support site teams with practical guidance on implementing HSE procedures.
  
  

Compliance & Standards

• Ensure training programs align with UAE laws, international HSE standards, and client requirements.
• Maintain accurate training records and certification tracking for employees and subcontractors.
• Assist in audits and inspections by providing evidence of training compliance.
  
  

Risk Management & Support

• Identify training needs based on risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Recommend preventive measures and integrate safety into project planning.
• Collaborate with HSE Managers to address gaps in workforce competency.
  
  

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to ensure training relevance.
• Coordinate with external training providers, regulatory authorities, and clients when required.
• Act as a subject matter expert in HSE training and workforce development.
  
  

Job Requirements

• Proven experience in delivering HSE training within contracting, construction, or infrastructure organizations.
• Strong knowledge of UAE regulations, international HSE standards, and industry best practices.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to design engaging training materials and adapt delivery methods to diverse audiences.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or related field; professional HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) preferred.
• Experience with digital training platforms and e-learning tools is an advantage.
