Job Brief:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced IT Manager to lead the IT function of a financial services firm, ensuring operational compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role will oversee daily IT operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and business applications, while also supporting the trading platforms and related technologies. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, leadership ability, and experience in brokerage or trading environments.

Job Responsibilities:

Strategic IT Management

• Align IT infrastructure with the company's business goals and future requirements.
• Analyze department-specific technology needs and propose tailored solutions.
• Oversee the evaluation and implementation of upgrades, new systems, and configurations.
• Ensure all IT operations meet established performance and compliance standards.
• Coordinate with various departments to manage cross-functional IT needs.

IT Operations & Team Leadership

• Supervise IT personnel, including developers, support technicians, and administrators.
• Maintain compliance with laws, codes, and regulations related to IT operations.
• Create and update IT procedures and policies documentation.
• Manage projects to meet objectives and timelines.

System Administration & Technical Support

• Conduct hands-on technical work such as installing, configuring, and troubleshooting applications and systems.
• Support a virtualized Windows infrastructure and deploy/manage physical and virtual systems.
• Manage database systems, including backups, performance, and recovery.
• Administer and secure local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN).
• Handle integration, configuration, and issue resolution for APIs, Bridge, FIX connections, and Manager-API applications.

Cybersecurity & Risk Management

• Implement network recovery and backup processes.
• Monitor and maintain cybersecurity measures across systems and networks.
• Participate in the Risk Committee to report and mitigate technology-related risks.

Internal & External Communication

• Report IT activities and updates to the Senior Executive Officer.
• Liaise with Finance and HR for IT budget and team needs.
• Coordinate with vendors and third-party service providers.
• Ensure compliance through coordination with external auditors and regulators.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in IT, preferably in financial services or trading.
• Operational knowledge of risk functions and regulatory environments.
• Hands-on experience with Windows system administration.
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with databases (MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with the MetaTrader 5 platform (client and server side).
• Experience with other trading platforms like CQG or TT is preferred.
• Good Excel skills and working knowledge of *nix systems.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python).
• Strong documentation, interpersonal, and decision-influencing skills.
• Proactive approach to technology, collaboration, and operations.
• Understanding of stock markets and meta platforms.
