Job Description
Assist in the implementation of DP World Group HSE strategy and standards as set by VP Environment Programmes, through the execution of global environment programs / engagements and ensuring alignment with the DP World’s vision of zero harm to our people & the environment.

- The internship is an opportunity to learn about topics around environmental programmes, in the context of DP World’s operations across ports & terminals, logistics, economic zones and marine services.
- Work on the development, implementation, and monitoring of assigned environmental programs (waste management, water/wastewater management, environmental engagement programs, biodiversity etc.).
- Assist in promoting and raising awareness, at all levels of the organization, of the impact of emerging environmental issues.
- Assist in developing, writing, and maintaining a variety of reports, documents, correspondence, and records related to DP World environment initiatives.
- Support in reviewing and analysing various reports, environmental data and assessments.
- Act as an ambassador for DP World always when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviours in harmony with DP World’s Founder’s Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Current student of environmental or sustainability degrees.
- Passionate and knowledgeable about key trends around global environment preservation.
- Interest in developing project management skills.
- Prior experience or interest in learning about:
- Environmental management systems
- Monitoring reporting and verification
- Environmental/sustainable projects
- Waste management, biodiversity, and water conservation
- Strategic mindset, big picture thinker with an ability to focus on the details where needed
- Ability to recognise issues, analyse, formulate and implement appropriate solutions
- Excellent verbal, written communication, computer literacy, report writing and administrative skills
