We are looking for an ambitious and driven Junior Trader to join the firm in Dubai.

Role Overview

As a Junior Trader, you will play a key role in supporting our fuel oil trading activities, gaining exposure to high-stakes, fast-moving global markets. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced traders and learn the intricacies of proprietary trading, while contributing to the firm’s success in the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior traders in the execution of trades within the OTC oil markets, including derivatives and physical products.
• Conduct in-depth market analysis, leveraging both fundamental and quantitative data to identify trading opportunities.
• Track and monitor positions, risk exposure, and real-time market developments to optimize trading strategies.
• Prepare and deliver regular reports on market movements, trade performance, and potential risks.
• Collaborate with risk management, operations, and technology teams to ensure seamless trade execution and post-trade processes.
• Build and maintain relationships with counterparties, brokers, and industry contacts across global markets.
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related fields. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA) are a plus.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with experience in data analysis tools such as Excel, Python, or SQL.
• A passion for financial markets, particularly energy and commodities trading.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Strong communication skills, a team-player mindset, and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across multiple geographies.
• Ideally, some previous experience in trading, market analysis, or a relevant financial services role, though we are open to recent graduates with a demonstrated interest in trading.
