Lead – Frontend Engineer

Location: Abu Dhabi

The Opportunity

As the Lead - Frontend Engineer, you will lead a talented team of frontend engineers to deliver exceptional user experiences for our products. This role combines your technical expertise with leadership skills to shape the vision, strategy, and execution of our frontend solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and backend engineering, to deliver scalable, maintainable, and performance-driven user interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Direct product development from Frontend side: define user experience, get buy in from the stakeholders.
• Create your own frontend component libraries and popularize them in wider company.
• Do code reviews, define high level and low-level implementation tasks for the team.
• Participate in use cases definition with the product team and the customer. Produce mark cup design for the rest of the team to be used.
• Be responsible for release process of frontend applications.
• Manage a small team of 2-3 frontend developers.
• Comply with QHSE (Quality Health Safety and Environment), Business Continuity, Information Security, Privacy, Risk, Compliance Management and Governance of Organizations policies, procedures, plans and related risk assessments.
  
  

Skills And Attributes For Success

Performance will be assessed based on measurable achievements, such as cost savings, reductions in productivity loss, defect-free delivery, adherence to policies and standards, and customer satisfaction scores.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Artificial Intelligence, Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Overall experience, developing frontend applications - at least 8 years.
• Strong experience with frontend framework - React, at least 5 years.
• Excellent knowledge of the server-side framework - Nodejs, at least 2-3 years.
• Contributing to open-source projects: digging into code, producing pull requests, fixing bugs.
• Experience with state management packages, like Mobx or Redux.
• Strong CSS skills with knowledge of TailwindCSS.
• Understanding and some experience with Network graph visualization libraries Sigma.js or Cytoscape.
• Experience with chart libraries.
• Experience with Elasticsearch queries is preferable and will be a big plus.
• Understanding of different images, audio and video file types (manipulation, transcoding).
• Experience with build pipelines on Github and Gitlab.
