The Lead Planner for Baker Hughes Well Systems business is in charge of planning a portion of a large subsea EPC project. The planner will be accountable for the schedule quality and project on-time delivery. The position reports to the product line planning leader.
As a Lead Project Planner, you will be responsible for:
- Schedule management: The planner oversees a portion of the project schedule, more specifically the activities related to project management, engineering, procurement, and manufacturing for a large portion of the project. The planner will need to ensure the schedule quality (logic, clarity) and accuracy (update of dates, reflexion of the scope of supply).
- Coordination: the planner will be collaborating with engineering, sourcing, and manufacturing functions to update the schedule based on their inputs. The planner will also be collaborating with other planners on the project, especially the fabrication planner on site and to some extent also the product line planners and the lead EPC planner.
- Ensures project implementation as well as work packages and constraints are accurately integrated into project planning scenario. Responsible for monitoring progress and producing accurate projections. Ensures other functions have access to accurate current reports and projections and relevant reports are available for the customer.
- Project management support: The planner is the right hand man/woman of the project manager and as such will provide him/her visibility on i) look ahead of tasks to be performed in the 3 – 6 weeks ii) risks in schedules and mitigation actions iii) opportunities in the schedule. The planner will provide relevant reports to project management to ensure the Project Manager has all the tools required to make the right decisions driving on time and on budget project execution.
- Support with customer: the planner will interact with the customer to provide update on schedule as well as explain the current situation / challenges / opportunities.
- Implementation of the integrated project planning initiative: the planner will adhere to the approved processes and proactively drive implementation of new initiatives leading to fully integrated planning.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have Bachelor / Master Degree / Equivalent (Engineering/Math/Science degree preferred).
- Expressive experience in planning in the subsea industry or relevant Industry.
- Expertise in use of the Primavera P6 planning tool. Additional knowledge of MRP is required.
- Fluent English and Portuguese
- Clear thinking: Ability to understand the status of a project and link the schedule to the reality of the execution. The planner will quickly understand the risks and opportunities in the schedule, identify and drive appropriate actions.
- Expertise: Strong expertise in planning of a large project as well as use of the Primavera P6 planning tool.
- Motivation and work ethic: High energy and motivation to deliver against and beyond expectations, making the difference in the position.

As a Lead Sourcing Specialist - Catalogue Management, you will be responsible for:
- Defining and improving sourcing strategies at the business or plant level. May also include management of regional & business teams.
- Advising Functional Managers regarding projects, processes and procedures in their field.
- Handling communication with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered.
- Contributing to the project as a team member or leading small projects.
- Leading the Development, implementation and continuous improvement of our Ariba catalogues in collaboration with internal stakeholders and preferred suppliers.
- Ensuring catalogue content complies with contractual terms. Internal polices and category strategies.
- Managing catalogue onboarding and maintenance, including pricing, product description, classification and data enrichment.
- Partnering with IT and procurement systems teams to ensure proper integration of catalogues into ERP and e-procurement platforms (e.g., SAP, Ariba)
- Monitoring catalogue usage, adoption, and performance metrics to identify gaps, recommend improvements, and drive compliance.
- Coordinating regular reviews with suppliers to ensure catalogue content accuracy and up-to-date offerings.
- Supporting sourcing projects by developing catalogue enablement plans and capturing catalogue-ready data during negotiations.
- Ensuring supplier onboarding includes catalogue readiness criteria and compliance with punchout or hosted format standards.
- Leading catalogue rationalisation initiatives and supporting tail-spend management strategies.
- Training end-users and internal stakeholders on catalogue use, benefits, and updates.
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Have at least 8+ years of experience in procurement or sourcing, with a focus on catalogue management or e-procurement systems.
- Have a good understanding of ERP and P2P systems (e.g., SAP MM, Ariba, Oracle).
- Have experience working with punchout catalogue formats.
- Have analytical skills with the ability to manage large datasets and derive insights.
- Have excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Have familiarity with category management and supplier relationship management best practices.
- Have certification in procurement or supply chain (e.g., CIPS, CPSM)
- Have a good technical understanding of catalogue file formats (e.g., CIF, Excel-based, XML)
- Have experience in catalogue compliance audits or procurement controls
- Have proficiency in MS Excel or similar reporting tools
- Have attention to detail and a quality assurance mindset
