Job Summary


The Manager, Global Communications supports and drives the overall Global Strategy for the Kerzner portfolio including One&Only Resorts, SIRO, and Rare Finds properties worldwide. This position reports to the VP, PR & Communications and plays an instrumental role in launch strategies for new resorts and hotels, helping to generate buzz, excitement, and positive media exposure across the luxury hospitality portfolio.

The role requires comfort working in a cross-functional team environment with regular interface across Marketing, Sales and Distribution, Procurement, Finance, Legal, Data Analytics, Development, Technical Services, Human Resources, Operations, global PR agencies, and resort teams. The position ensures Kerzner International global standards are maintained across all touchpoints and channels while supporting the Commercial Team across all initiatives and ensuring tasks are implemented at the highest standard within allocated timelines.


Key Responsibilities


  • Manage global PR agencies ensuring strategic alignment and execution of communication initiatives across all Kerzner brands.
  • Manage on-property communications teams while ensuring brand standards are met across all activations and creative story ideas are developed.
  • Collect and distribute highlights coverage and industry trends to key internal stakeholders for strategic decision-making.
  • Coordinate events and maintain updated Communications and PR calendar across all brands and properties.
  • Manage crisis communications as required while supporting rapid response protocols and reputation management.
  • Develop press releases and copywriting materials while ensuring consistent tone of voice and brand messaging.
  • Prepare interview and panel briefing documents for key spokespeople including executives and property leadership.
  • Plan, execute and manage new property launches including development of press kits, property Q&As, bios, and training programs.
  • Manage RFP processes for new agencies when required while ensuring optimal vendor selection and contract negotiation.
  • Travel to properties and key markets as required to support communication initiatives and media relations.
  • Liaise with media and organize press trip coordination and hosting for key publications and influencers.
  • Lead internal processes and procedures including SalesForce, Campaign management systems, and communication workflows.
  • Develop programming at resorts that allow for excellent storytelling while creating supporting content for media distribution.
  • Represent the brand with media and key stakeholders while demonstrating strategic thinking and agency management capabilities.
  • Execute brand partnerships through ideation, negotiation, and implementation while ensuring commercial ROI measurement.
  • Support CEO and executive team with media interview preparation and strategic communication guidance.
  • Ensure all communication activities demonstrate commercial impact and measurable business outcomes.


Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements


  • 5 years of communications experience with prior agency and resort experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of ultra-luxury brands and luxury hospitality market dynamics
  • Excellent English language writing and verbal communication skills with strong copywriting abilities
  • Experience with brand building and demand generation through content including social media, video, web, and email
  • Proven project management and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking with ability to measure and report on campaign effectiveness
  • Experience working with ultra-luxury brands or within luxury hospitality and travel sectors preferred
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Keynote, Salesforce, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • On-property and pre-opening experience advantageous with attention to detail capabilities
  • Foreign language skills advantageous for international market communications
