Manager Material Planning

Synopsis

Lead the material planning team in provisioning of aircraft spares & consumables (airframe, engine, cabin, IFE) and tooling whilst maintaining optimized service levels and stock turn to support operations.

Accountabilities

• Manage material planning functions associated with component hard time forecast, engineering orders, component retrofits and cabin surveys.
• Manage provisioning activities, implement stocking techniques and optimum part holding to meet department KPI.
• Prepare annual spend budget for spend on aircraft inventory procurement and controlling the spend adhering to the same.
• Develop, establish, and manage relationships with key strategic partners; internal and external such as Engineering, Planning, warehouse, OEMs and suppliers to ensure the management strategy is effectively implemented and operations are supported.
• Ensure optimum stock levels for rotables and consumables are maintained and updated in ERP.
• Develop and maintain up to date the departmental manuals (TPM) to ensure compliance with regulations and organizational requirements.
• Responsible for developing strategies, establishing KPI for team to achieve organization goal.
• Lead and develop a team to ensure internal talents are enhanced by means of coaching, mentoring and exposure to new subjects and projects.
• Support preparation, negotiations of business case and contracts for spare parts and tooling.
• Manage Audits and any ad hoc projects assigned by Senior Manager to achieve department goal.
  
  

Education & Experience

• Bachelors in engineering or equivalent professional qualification and minimum 10 years aviation inventory management or materials planning experience.
• A self-motivated, highly enthusiastic, and passionate team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• A resilient candidate with ability to adapt to different and multicultural environments & work under pressure.
• Strong business acumen and effective relationship and team builder.
• People’s focused person with ability to lead, organize, guide operational teams, and set a high performing team culture
