Your Tasks
- Consult and advise foreign affiliates within Region Emerging Markets, mainly in Middle East, Near East, Africa, and India, of Beiersdorf group on international tax, transfer pricing, and group structure matters.
- Handle international tax topics in local tax audits of affiliates and in international proceedings (APA/MAP).
- Review, document and develop further the Beiersdorf Transfer Pricing approach.
- Advise with tax expertise in international tax matters on cross functional projects.
- Monitor changes in the international tax and transfer pricing environment to understand the impact on the current day to day business operations, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Consult and advise to the Regional VP Finance on all tax-related matters (including TP, Customs, VAT, CIT, etc.) within the region, providing strategic tax insights and ensuring alignment with business scenarios and tax laws.
- Partnership with business verticals such as Marketing, Sales, and Supply Chain to offer proactive guidance on tax scenarios and challenges.
- Identify potential tax-optimizing opportunities from a P&L perspective within the region.
- Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on international tax matters, including conducting workshops or presentations to educate employees on tax implications of their activities.
- Develop relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including active engagement with Tax Authorities.
Your Profile
- University degree in Business Administration, Law, Master of International Taxation or similar degree, with focus on tax/accounting
- several years of experience in managing international tax and transfer pricing matters, in either industry, or advisory firm (Big 4), ideally within the Region Emerging Markets/Near East, Middle East, Africa, India
- Certification as tax advisor (German or equivalent) preferred
- Business fluency in English, German as an advantage
- Profound knowledge of system landscape, e.g. MS Office, SAP and interest in tax & TP documentation process automatization
- Profound analytical and project management skills; ability to think strategically while also engaging in normal day-to-day tactical details
- Hands-on, dynamic and proactive ways of working
- Ability to manage stakeholders and to communicate, written and verbally, complex international tax topics in ways that are meaningful and useful to non-tax professionals.
Location is Dubai, UAE with occasional travels within the Region and to Hamburg
