What You'll Be Doing
To lead and oversee all financial reporting and management activities across the Group’s Joint Venture portfolio, serving as a highly visible and strategic point of contact between Chalhoub Group and its JV partners. In this role, you will ensure the delivery of accurate, timely, and insightful financial reports, while fostering strong collaborative relationships and proactively managing escalations. You uphold the highest standards of financial governance and transparency, directly influencing strategic decision-making and reinforcing the strength and trust of our joint venture partnerships.

What You'll Be Doing
To lead and oversee all financial reporting and management activities across the Group’s Joint Venture portfolio, serving as a highly visible and strategic point of contact between Chalhoub Group and its JV partners. In this role, you will ensure the delivery of accurate, timely, and insightful financial reports, while fostering strong collaborative relationships and proactively managing escalations. - Month-End Close & Financial Reporting
- Lead and coordinate the month-end close processes for all Joint Ventures under the scope of the Reporting team.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS/GAAP).
- Review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and variance analyses.
- Close coordination with cross functional teams to ensure accuracy of monthly trial balance.
- Drive continuous improvements in close processes to reduce timelines and improve efficiency.
- JV Stakeholder Relationship Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for all financial reporting matters with JV partners, external auditors, and internal stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with JV partners to ensure alignment, transparency, and mutual trust.
- Present financial results, SLAs and insights to stakeholders and leadership teams with clarity and confidence.
- Manage escalations, resolve issues promptly, and drive proactive communication; address and resolve accounting-related inquiries from stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
- Audit & Compliance
- Assist in the annual audit process for all Joint Ventures, coordinating with external auditors, internal teams, and JV partners.
- Maintain compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Manage and mentor a team of accountants, ensuring proper workload distribution and professional development.
- Foster a collaborative and accountable team culture with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.
- Monthly reviews of Balance sheet schedules to ensure accuracy and timely resolution of aged balances
- Service Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Proactively monitor service levels, identify areas for improvement, and ensure the highest standards of service delivery to JV partners.
- Track, report, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) and SLAs, taking corrective actions when needed.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Legal, Commercial, etc.) to ensure end-to-end alignment in support of the JVs.
- Contribute to system enhancements, process optimization initiatives, and automation projects to drive efficiency and accuracy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
- 7-10+ years of experience in financial reporting, ideally with exposure to Joint Ventures, Shared Services, or Group Finance functions.
- At least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Proven experience with month-end close and financial reporting for multiple entities.
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
- Experience in managing external stakeholders, building relationships, and handling escalations with diplomacy and professionalism.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to operate in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
