Job Brief:

Our client is seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Membership Specialist to join their team. The Membership Specialist will be responsible for driving membership sales, delivering excellent customer service, and supporting retention efforts. This role plays a key part in creating a welcoming experience for both prospective and current members while achieving sales and service targets.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for prospective members by providing tours, explaining services, and highlighting membership benefits.
  • Generate new membership sales through walk-ins, referrals, outreach, and follow-ups.
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, inquiries, and conversions using CRM or membership software.
  • Assist with membership renewals, upgrades, freezes, and cancellations in a professional manner.
  • Support retention initiatives by building strong relationships with members and addressing concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to execute promotions and events.
  • Meet and exceed monthly membership sales and retention targets.
  • Provide exceptional customer service at all times, both in person and through phone/email.
  • Stay updated on company services, programs, and promotions.
  • Contribute to creating a welcoming, motivating, and community-focused environment.


Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Business, Marketing, or Hospitality is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in customer service and sales roles within the gym/fitness industry.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Goal-oriented with a proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Professional, approachable, and customer-focused attitude.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM/membership management software.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong communication skills.
