Job Brief:

A reputable construction and contracting firm is seeking a skilled and entrepreneurial MEP Manager to lead and develop its MEP division as an independent profit center. The ideal candidate must have strong market knowledge, business development capabilities, and technical proficiency in managing MEP operations across all project phases.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and establish the MEP division as a self-sustaining profit center.
• Prepare a comprehensive business plan and present it to management within the first 30 days.
• Identify manpower requirements and assist in the recruitment process as per company policy.
• Lead business development initiatives, supported by a team of executives.
• Maintain strong relationships with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders in the market.
• Oversee project costing and budgeting for MEP-related works.
• Attend meetings and handle correspondence with clients and consultants.
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain the most competitive pricing.
• Ensure smooth site coordination and execution of MEP works in line with project timelines and standards.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of overall experience with at least 5 years in the region's construction industry.
• Proven experience in establishing and managing MEP divisions or departments.
• Strong knowledge of MEP project costing, planning, and execution.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and client management skills.
• Existing network of contacts with contractors and consultants.
• Strong understanding of the region's construction market dynamics and vendor ecosystem.
