After a strong traction over the past 12 months in UAE, we secured a fundraising round and are now expanding quickly and opening more countries (KSA, Kuwait & rest of GCC). About the RoleRole DescriptionThe Operations Supervisor at Cado will be responsible for overseeing vendor management, sourcing and purchasing, logistics management, fulfilment operations, quality assurance, budget and cost control, and stakeholder collaboration.
Responsibilities1. Vendor Management:
o Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers, vendors, and manufacturers specializing in corporate gifts.
o Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and service.
o Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure the best deals for high-quality and unique gifting solutions.
o Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards, ethical practices, and sustainability criteria.
2. Sourcing and Purchasing:
o Oversee the sourcing and purchasing of materials, equipment, and services, focusing on creative and premium gift items.
o Ensure that procurement activities are conducted in compliance with company policies and industry regulations. o Monitor market trends and conditions to anticipate changes in supply and demand within the gifting industry.
3. Logistics Management:
o Oversee the logistics operations, inventory management, and transportation. o Optimize logistics processes to reduce costs and improve delivery times. o Oversee the last-mile delivery operations to ensure timely and accurate delivery of gifts to recipients. o Monitor delivery performance and address any issues to ensure high customer satisfaction.
4. Fulfilment Operations:
o Manage the order fulfilment process, ensuring accurate and timely picking, packing, and shipping of orders. o Implement best practices to improve fulfilment efficiency and accuracy.
5. Quality Assurance:
o Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure all gift products meet company standards. o Conduct regular inspections and audits of products to identify and resolve any quality issues.
6. Budget and Cost Control:
o Prepare and manage the procurement budget, ensuring adherence to financial targets.
7. Stakeholder Collaboration:
o Work closely with internal departments, including sales, designers and product development, to understand their procurement needs and align them with client expectations.
Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an operations management role, preferably within the e-commerce or gifting industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to monitor performance metrics and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience in conflict management and problem-solving.
